Wooden Picnic Tables

Our wooden picnic tables are very popular, offering economy and function. All wooden picnic tables are ACQ (non-arsenic) treated reducing any material rot due to climate or insects. These wooden picnic tables will initially have a greenish tint that will age to a silver gray. Most frames are galvanized to reduce rust and corrosion.
Many can come equipped for a surface mount or in ground mount. A variety of them are made of redwood and coated with a sealer. The sealer gives it a natural color and preserves the material. It is necessary to re-coat it periodically to maintain the great look of the wooden picnic tables.
Contemporary Wooden Picnic Tables
A picnic table (or sometimes a picnic bench) is a modified table with benches expressly for the purpose of eating a meal outdoors (picnicking). In the past, picnic tables were typically made of wood, but modern tables can be made out of anything from recycled plastic to brushed metal. Picnic tables have been used for centuries and by people all over the world. The most popular form of picnic tables are wooden. Wood picnic tables have many benefits but also carry some weaknesses.
The type of wood used makes a big difference in the quality of the table, and how long the table will last. Wood tables do require a medium amount of maintenance including some soap and water occasionally. If wood tables are left out without any care they will begin to mold and the wood will start to discolor and lose its form. Warping is a major problem associated with wooden picnic tables. In order to help combat the problem many manufacturers are using pressure treated wood.
Over 70 years ago, Dr. Karl Wolman invented the process of infusing preservative deeply into wood products. Today, a giant industry has grown up around his quest to invent a wood that can last forever. Pressure treating is a process that forces a chemical preservative deep into the wood. The wood product is placed into a humongous cylindrical holding tank, and the tank is depressurized to remove all air. The tank is then filled with the preservative under high pressure, forcing it deeply into the wood. The tank is then drained and the remaining preservative reused.
The wood is removed from the tank and prepared for shipment to your local lumberyard. This process helps protect the wood from insects, vermin and fungus giving it an additional 20 years of service. The frame is also important when selecting which table will work best for you. Generally speaking picnic table frames are either bolted together or welded together. The welded style provides a little bit of additional strength. Also the size of the tubing of the frame makes a big difference. Picnic table frames are either 1 and 5/16” or 2 and 3/8”. This give you a couple options to help fit the budget.
Vinyl Plastic Picnic Tables

Vinyl Plastic Picnic Tables are a new and exciting way to provide value and picnic table functions for many projects. Vinyl plastic is extruded with inner structure for strength. They are light weight and easy to assemble. Cleaning is remarkably easy just wiping off with soap and water. The material is made to resist UV damage and made in the USA for quality.
These products have a 20 year warranty so customers can be confident they will last for years serving many picnic functions. They are made in the traditional style with attached seats. Like the rest of our picnic tables, vinyl plastic picnic tables can be ordered in a child size. These tables are just many options made today that are a benefit to our environment making a responsible “green” purchase.
Thermo Plastic Picnic Tables

Thermo Plastic Picnic tables offer the smoothest and most beautiful plastic coating available. The plastic is electro-statically applied and baked on the steel to completely cover the surface. This gives a strong bond with a high gloss to give a long lasting finish. One characteristic of this finish is that it is resists vandals’ graffiti. WD-40 can be sprayed on paint removing vandals’ marks. Schools appreciate this product for that reason as well as the many colors available.
Choose from the popular round, square or traditional rectangular shapes. The walk-thru frame gives easy access without stepping over the seat to sit. Generally a six foot picnic table will seat six adults while an eight foot table will seat eight. Children sizes are also available. The round and square table will seat eight adults. Matching trash receptacles are made to compliment your public areas. Thermo Plastic picnic tables offer a great product at a great price.
Public Park Benches

A public park bench is a welcome sight along a walking path or trail. Public park benches are just a nice place to rest. Think about the gardens, walking paths, bike paths, park trails and rest stops where these benches are used. Concrete, recycled plastic, resin, wood, plastic coated steel and aluminum materials are all commonly used for a good sturdy bench.
Many benches have black, green or brown frames to blend them in the to background scenery. Like many site amenities people take benches for granted expecting them to show up on the trail for rest and relaxation. I have seen log benches where a tree has been cut in half and creative molds at Disney with Mickey Mouse, or Goofy plastic benches at theme parks. Universal studios and Sea World have their own special benches.
You just can’t beat a good bench! Trail Benches, Park benches, theme park benches, garden benches, street benches, sports benches and church benches are as common as a hotdog on 4th of July!
Picnic Tables made from Recycled Plastic

Recycled plastic Picnic Tables are some of the newest styles for Parks, schools, government facilities and office buildings. Available in natural colors, they blend in with the environment and look like wood picnic tables. The material reuses plastic which helps reduces the amount of natural resources used and makes use of materials that used to be thrown away as garbage. We offer many different sizes and styles to accommodate customers’ needs.
ADA needs are met by wheelchair accessible models. Picnic tables come in traditional rectangular sizes with galvanize steel frames. Other styles are made from complete recycled plastic lumber. All styles use either stainless steel hardware or zinc coated bolts to minimize any corrosion for years of use. Recycled plastic does not need painting, will not crack peel or splinter making it a great choice for picnic table.
